Arctik Travel is the brainchild of a small group of avid travellers with extensive travelling and living experience outside their home country. We are citizens of the world, characterised by an irrepressible curiosity and an unquenchable desire to discover different places and cultures. Our passion for wide open spaces and unspoilt wilderness has drawn us to remote places, once almost inaccessible, with an epic charm steeped in sagas and legends.
We want to share our passion for the Arctic and the Far North by offering original, often tailor-made itineraries, because we think that a trip should be much more than just a holiday. We design authentic travel experiences and share them with an audience of travellers, and dreamers, like us.
We are travel designers for most of our trips, although we do rely on the support of selected partners and suppliers.
For accommodation, we favour boutique hotels or guesthouses, or typical local accommodation, such as rorbuer in the Norwegian fjords or ranches in the mountains and prairies of North America.
We design self-drive tours with a difference, which are very different from classic fly & drive tours. The difference lies mainly in offering original itineraries, accommodation suited to the context, and a range of essential activities and excursions to optimise your travel experience. We always take into account your budget, traveller profile, and specific interests and needs.
Nordikae is a DMC specialising in individual and small group travel, based in Tromsø, in the Norwegian Arctic, with commercial partners in Spain and Italy.
The Wilderness Society is a tour operator based in Italy and South Africa, specialising in safaris, Arctic expeditions and tailor-made trips.
